Apple's iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C Coming to US Cellular on November 8

Apple's iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C Coming to US Cellular on November 8

US Cellular, which is America’s fifth-largest carrier, recently announced that it will start carrying the latest iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on November 8. This marks the first time Apple’s popular handset will be available on the telecom’s network. The news came in in an update to the company’s webpage, though the company has yet to make an official announcement.

For those of you that didn’t know, until now, US Cellular was the largest cellular provider in the nation to not have access to the iPhone. This meant the carrier was left behind for the recent iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C launch in September while the top-four carriers: Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, all rolled out the two devices on September 20. It was later learned that the new iPhones were among the three best-selling devices for each of the four carriers that month, despite being on sale for only ten days. The number one seller for all telecoms was the more expensive iPhone 5S.

Beyond the availability date, US Cellular has shared little else about its upcoming iPhone plans. The large iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C links on the company’s homepage both lead to generic advertisements of each, as well as a comparison chart taken from Apple’s website. We’ll have to wait for any further information.
