Angela Ahrendts Sends Internal Video to Retail Employees in Regards to Apple Watch

Angela Ahrendts Sends Internal Video to Retail Employees in Regards to Apple Watch

Apple’s SVP of retail and online stores, Angela Ahrendts recently sent an internal video to retail employees on the decision to not accept walk-in orders for the Apple Watch, the wearable device’s current situation, and the availability of the 12-inch MacBook. The video was obtained by French website Mac4Ever and apparently Ahrendts noted that the reason the Apple Watch is only orderable online is because of such high demand for the device. The company is looking to provide a better experience for their customers and has no plans on changing the policy.

According to Ahrendts,

It was not an easy decision, and I think it's really important to remind every single customer that this is not just a new product for us, this is an entirely new category. And the first time we've ever previewed a product two weeks before availability.

The great news is from anyone who did pre-order, they'll start getting their orders this Friday.

Ahrendts noted that the smartwatch is not just simply a new device, but instead a completely new platform. She warned employees and told them to be prepared for upcoming personal setup appointments. Ahrednts will also be giving weekly updates on the Apple Watch to employees. As for the new 12-inch MacBook, apparently it was one of the best launches ever for the company. This is great news for Apple as it seems like everyone is a fan of their new products. Click the source link below to view the entire video.
